Our GSTC Certification – For a More Sustainable Holiday in the Dolomites

Camping AL PLAN Dolomites and the GSTC Certification: A Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

We are delighted to announce that, starting this summer, Camping AL PLAN Dolomites has officially become part of the global family of accommodations certified by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

This certification confirms our commitment to sustainability, promoting responsible practices that respect the environment, local culture, and the well-being of people.

We have chosen this path with conviction because we believe that healthy and sustainable tourism is essential to preserve the unique beauty of the Dolomites and ensure a better future for generations to come. We are committed to valuing our locality by offering an experience that respects nature and traditions.

We invite all our guests and visitors to join us on this journey, adopting responsible and sustainable behaviors for the love of nature. Every small gesture count, and together we can make a difference!

Respect for nature. our role in the ecosystem

Every step we take in nature leaves a trace. When we encounter wild environments, we are not just observers: we are part of a delicate balance that connects people, wildlife, and the entire ecosystem.

Wild animals live by natural rhythms that can be easily disrupted by human presence – often without us realizing it. A seemingly harmless gesture – getting too close, leaving food behind, or making loud noises – can cause stress, change animal behavior, and in some cases, threaten their survival. Protecting biodiversity also means taking care of ourselves. Every species, every plant, every animal plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of our planet. By acting with respect, awareness, and responsibility, we can become travelers who protect, not harm.

This is why we actively support all activities that raise awareness, promote environmental education, and encourage responsible tourism. We believe that understanding leads to protection, and that every experience in nature is an opportunity to learn and grow.

We invite you to experience nature with attention and an open heart, leaving behind only gratitude and respect.

Cleaning and Environmental Care

At Camping AL PLAN***-Dolomites, environmental care is one of our top priorities. For this reason, we have chosen to use only eco-friendly cleaning products for the maintenance of common areas and facilities, ensuring a minimal impact on the environment and the health of our guests.

In addition, our staff is always committed to avoiding waste by adopting sustainable daily practices, such as the rational use of resources and recycling. Every small action count, and we are happy to share our commitment to a greener and cleaner future with you.

We invite you to join us on this journey by choosing together to respect and preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us!

Correct Waste Separation: A Commitment to the Environment

Waste management and respect for the environment are fundamental to us. For this reason, we have created an exclusive eco-island for our guests, equipped with separate containers for correct waste separation. Upon arrival, each guest will receive a small manual with detailed instructions on how to properly sort waste, along with a paper bag for collecting organic waste. In this way, every small action helps reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.

We encourage you to shop responsibly by reducing waste and preferring products with minimal packaging and, when possible, avoiding plastic. Opting for eco-friendly packaging and reducing plastic use helps preserve our pristine nature.

Water Conservation: A Commitment to the Future

At Camping AL PLAN Dolomites, we are very mindful of managing natural resources, and water is one of the resources we want to preserve with the greatest care. We kindly ask you to avoid wasting it and use it consciously in all your daily activities.

We invite you to drink our water, which is completely potable and of excellent quality, and encourage you to avoid purchasing plastic bottles. In this way, you will not only contribute to water conservation but also help reduce plastic pollution – a small gesture that makes a big difference.

Green Mobility

For us at Camping AL PLAN***-Dolomites, sustainable mobility is essential.

We offer all our guests the Alto Adige Guest Pass, a special card that allows free use of public transport within our province. A simple and convenient way to explore the beauty of the Dolomites without the need to move your own car!

Additionally, for cycling enthusiasts, we are happy to collaborate with the Bike School of San Vigilio, offering breathtaking mountain biking adventures and the possibility to rent bicycles during the summer season. Commitment Against Exploitation and Harassment

Our organization is actively engaged in the fight against all forms of exploitation, harassment, and sex tourism. We promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and protection, collaborating with the relevant authorities to create a safe, protected, and respectful environment.

We believe that every tourist has a duty to be aware of the impact of their actions and the responsibilities that come with visiting a destination.

Wildcamping

Wildcamping

We would like to point out to all our visitors that – as in many other regions of Italy – wild camping is explicitly prohibited in South Tyrol and within the nature parks, such as the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ban applies to all forms of camping, including overnight stays in tents, motorhomes or caravans. This practice harms the environment and disturbs wildlife.

Accessibility and comfort for everyone

At Camping AL PLAN***-Dolomites, we want everyone to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
That’s why we offer private bathrooms, available for separate booking, as well as an accessible bathroom, designed for guests with reduced mobility, which is available free of charge.

The accessible bathroom is spacious, easy to reach, and equipped with facilities that meet current accessibility standards, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive stay.

We work every day to make our campsite a welcoming place for every guest, offering services that meet a variety of needs. For more information or specific requests, don’t hesitate to contact us — we’ll be happy to help you plan your holiday.
