The Ladins have developed their own culture and identity over the years. Traces of this go back to the Bronze Age. But the Val Badia is particularly captivating with its language – “Ladin”. This is the jewel of the Ladin culture – a language in its own right that gradually developed from Rhaetian.
The Val Badia is known, among other things, for its typical, down-to-earth cuisine as well as for the characteristic mountain farm landscape: the sunny slopes are dotted with a large number of hamlets – called “Les Viles” in Ladin.

The ski slopes are just a few minutes away thanks to the free ski bus service, which will take you directly from the campground to the Plan de Corones / Dolomiti Superski lifts. And after a busy day on the snow? For a pleasant break to warm up and relax, our 140 m² sauna area awaits you. In addition, our ski storage room is at your disposal, offering the convenience of drying all your used equipment. But the mountains aren’t just about skiing: in San Vigilio, many other experiences await you, such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or ski mountaineering tours in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.
