There are also many well-marked forest roads surrounding the residential area of San Vigilio di Marebbe that await you for a relaxing walk suitable for children as well.
Don't miss out on the Roda dles Viles excursion, which is a characteristic trail that leads you to Ladin houses known as the "Viles" of Pieve di Marebbe, where time seems to have stopped completely.
Bike and mountain bike
There are over 600 bike trails to try on mountain bike in San Vigilio di Marebbe. Many of these branch off right into the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Additionally, this area is a permanent leg of the Transalp Challenge, one of the Alps' most challenging cycling competitions.
When you need to take a break, don't hesitate to stop in one of the numerous lodges in the area, where you can taste typical local dishes and reenergize.
Touch the rock of the Dolomites with your hands by climbing up the steep mountainsides. This is the reason why many rock climbers choose to come back here every year to freely give into their passion. While San Vigilio di Marebbe is not considered one of the most popular climbing sites, it does offer an alternative to the more famous, yet crowded, paths of the Dolomites.
Very close to the Rifugio Pederü lodge, two outdoor climbing gyms have been constructed which can be easily reached by road. Alternatively, experts can enjoy themselves on the sheer rock face of Cima Nove (approx. 3,000 meters), which is one of the most peculiar climbs the Dolomites have to offer. We must also mention the Direttissima Messner and the Heidi. The incredibly difficult southern wall of the Col Bechei also offers a series of alpine paths reserved for the most expert climbers.
Adrenaline X-Treme Adventures
The zip-line of San Vigilio di Marebbe is the biggest in all of Europe. The course includes 10 lines covering a total of 3,200 meters. This is the ideal place for adventure lovers and anyone wanting to experience thrills during their stay!
